The lines of hexagram 41

For the meaning of Eminent - expansion. Harvest - determination click HERE.
The empty cauldron or: this is all there is.
The character fu, confidence (usually translated as truth) means probably to have the support of gods, ancestors, spirits or allies. If you show them gratitude, they will bless your ventures. It also includes inspiring - others or yourself. Truth is a strong inspiring force.
Line 1. The character 己 meant originally 'unrvel threads', so here it can also mean to unravel affairs.
Line 2. Another explanation might be: to be without diminishing or augmenting is to be without wishes, without ego. See Not decreasing increases it.
Line 3. Three can mean 3, or it can mean "several", but 3, 'san', sounds also like 'san, to part ways'. Two is balance, like marriage, three can disrupt that.
Line 5 (and 42.2). Ten pairs: it was common practice to divine the same charge in five pairs. "Will it .. will it not.." So there are 10 cracks made on one tortoise shell.
Line 5. 'Someone's increase' or: someone increases it.
Line 6. The character 弗, not, is especially 'oppose', not accepting something. According to Schilling: what does not decrease, increases. See also Not decreasing increases it. 'Acquiring unmarried servants' can also be: 'acquire servants, no home'. Unmarried servants will all by themselves want to find a partner and get children, increasing your staff.
