Guà Jìng - Yáo Ying

Hexagram Mirrors - Line Reflections
(line pathways)

The mirror of 47.1-58.1-48.6-57.6

About an open or closed attitude (to the world)

47.1 yin: The buttocks tied to a tree trunk. He enters a secluded valley. For three years he does not encounter anyone.
 Closing oneself off from interaction.

 58.1 yang: Harmonious interaction, auspicious.
 Mutual openness creates friendship.

48.6 yin: The well is gathering. Do not cover it. Sincere. Great auspiciousness.
Draw from the well and share with others.

57.6 yang: Penetration below the bed. Determination about losing one's qualifications and abilities: pitfall.
Don't dig too deep, 'live' your life instead of 'thinking' it.

Mirror groupings 47.1-58.1 and 21.6-51.6 are contrasts

(all yang lines of Mirror 47.1 are yin lines in Mirror 21.6 and vv)

Mirror 47.1 is about receiving influences
Mirror 21.6 is about
