Hexagram Mirrors - Line Reflections
(line pathways)

Mirror group 17.1-45.1-18.6-46.6

About your next step deciding your direction

17.1 yin: The standards are changing. Determination auspicious. To come out of the gate and interact brings achievement.
Move with the waves and listen to the wind. Renewing shocks of Thunder.

45.1 yang: Being true not to the end. Then chaos, then gathering. Like when crying, one hand offered restores laughing. Do not worry. To proceed is without fault.
Give everything which goes wrong a chance to be solved. Receptiveness of Earth.

Lines 17.1 and 45.1 are each others fanyao, like views on the same landscape but from a different side, Thunder-Earth and vv. Asking for different (complementary) actions. Going along with change or doing something about it.

18.6 yang: Not serving king or lord. Honoring one's affairs high.
True to yourself, with integer values. Steadfastness of Mountain.

46.6 yin: Obscure ascent. Benefit from unceasing determination.
When you don't know the road, then follow your intent and the paths it will find. Receptiveness of Earth.

Lines 18.6 and 46.6 are each others fanyao, like views on the same landscape but from a different side, Mountain-Earth and vv. Asking for different (complementary) actions. Trusting yourself versus trusting fate/earth.

Lines 17.1 and 18.6 and also 45.1 and 46.6 are each others qianyao (upside-down). Here are similar actions but in different landscapes (complementary contexts).
What was up, outside or mental, is now down, inside or physical.

Mirror groups 17.1 and 17.6 are contrasts
(all yang lines of Mirror 17.1-45.1 are yin lines in Mirror 17.6-25.6 and vv)
Mirror 17.1-45.1 is about your next step deciding your direction
Mirror 17.6-25.6 is about your situation deciding your road

Explanations: How I found the Mirrors and how they work

  Notes:
46.6, both Earth and Mountain have no future goal, both work 'now', but they lead you to where you are meant to be.
