Hexagram Mirrors - Line Reflections
(line pathways)

The mirror of 03.2-60.2-04.5-59.5

About not programming the mind

3.2: Then sprouting, then proceeding with difficulty, then driving a team of horses. No bandit: a marital suitor. Girl's determination: no babies. Ten years, then babies.
Don't shut down in hopelessness. Keep your mind open.

60.2: Not coming out of the gate, pitfall.
 Open to everything, unprogrammed.

Lines 3.2 and 60.2 are each others fanyao, like views on the same landscape but from a different side. The Thunder of 3.2: never stand still, The Lake of 60.2: open.

 4.5: Youthful ignorance. Auspicious.
Stay connected to the world around you or you will fossilize.

59.5: Floods of perspiration, great cries. Flooding the king’s residence, no fault.
No need to worry about what is out of your grasp or relies on rumors.

Lines 4.5 and 59.5 are each others fanyao, like views on the same landscape but from a different side. The Mountain of 4.5: danger of fossilizing. The Wind of 59.5: rumors.

Lines 3.2 and 4.5 and also 59.5 and 60.2 are each others qianyao (upside-down). Here are similar actions but in different landscapes (complementary contexts).
What was up, outside or mental, is now down, inside or physical.

Mirror groups 3.2 and 49.5 are contrasts
(all yang lines of Mirror 3.2 are yin lines in Mirror 49.5 and vv)
Mirror 03.2 is about being versatile, not locking down in any mode.
Mirror 49.5 is about the influence of a strong mind or inner life on what happens around you.
