The lines of hexagram 50

  'Corrects the situation' or uses the correct position.
  The nine Ding are the symbol of the state and the ruling power of the emperor: one from every clan.
  Line 1: getting out of obstructions, or getting out obstructions.
  Line 2: comrade or mate - or opponent. Afflicted, or having difficulties.
  Line 3: it seems the ears have to do with handling the cauldron.
  Line 4: 'The vessel breaks a foot is an expression for a minister who ruins the state. His appearance soiled...
  Line 5: yellow or golden ears: it can be handlied in an excellent way (see line 3). A pole got insertied through both rings for carrying. Gold is precious. Not certain if it is very strong though...
  Line 6. 'Set things right' or go on a (punishing) expedition or to go on a trip.
