The lines of hexagram 21

  Line 1, shoes: same character as the name of hex.10. Shoes are also what makes you walk in a certain way (see hex.10.1, 'plain shoes' means 'simple life').
'Foot-fetters' is the same character as 'cangue' in line 6. GSR 1166i says foot-fetters, but I guess in line 6 it is not for the feet. Other meanings of the character: school, check, compare critically. So the impulsive toes need to be controlled in order to walk the right way and not run into stupidity or disaster.
  Line 1, 2 and 6, 'extinguish': water + fire + weapon: put out fire.
  Line 4, meat on the bone or leftovers. Sentence might be: difficulties determination brings good fortune.
  Line 4 and 5: finding or acquiring is 'result in'.
  Line 5: danger is cliff + scorpion.
