  The shock that starts a new time, a new period, a new life, or a new look on (attitude towards) life.
  Repeated shocks are necessary, because the new does not stay new, it gets loaded again with securities. Time after time one has to renew the universal laws within oneself, get in contact again with the cosmic forces, cosmic truth.
  It is the appearance of the signs. 

 

ZHÈN: The upper part (1) of the character is rain, the lower part (2) is probably a sickle. It represents a period of time of a cycle (sickle: harvest), the decisive moment (cutting of the sickle), a part of the zodiac. 
ZHÈN: to shake, tremble, as an earthquake; excite, shock, scared, terrified, awe inspiring, thunder, thunderclap, to quicken, to become pregnant.

 
6 at 3: The shock: reviving, reviving. The shock moves without mistake.
Shocks inspire to greater deeds than normal thinking can imagine. Use them, don’t let them fade away, don’t let anyone talk you back to normal size. Great and often dreadful happenings give power and depth to life.

Above 6: The shock is twining, twining, looking around in terror, terror. To set things right: pitfall. The shock does not reach oneself; it reaches one's neighbor, no fault. A marriage brings talk.
 One cannot see the lightning that hits oneself, only the one that hits the neighbor. So you will have to learn by that one what it can do. Usually learning by looking around is a better option than waiting until it hits you.

6 at 2: The shock comes, danger. A hundred thousand lost coins. Climb the nine mounds, do not pursue, the seventh day you will acquire them.
 Do not fear loss, do not chase after things. You have what belongs to you, and if you lose it, it will return again. Fears are apt to chase things rather than to hold them. Stop searching down there for coins, look upwards to higher things and get the courage and perseverance to tackle them.

6 at 5: The shock goes and comes, danger. If one does not lose one's intention one can accomplish things.
Shocks are frightening, but when one does not panic, they can reveal new paths and insights. Open your mind for them, this is the occasion for widening your horizons, and smashing many blockades. Have the guts to enter new ventures, new and big challenges.

 Thoughtlessness is one of the biggest causes of trouble. Not stupidity, not inexperience, not taking too much risk. Just think of all the things you would have done different if you had thought before acting. So be grateful for shocks, they hit you out of thoughtlessness. Many have been saved from disaster by a shock, or even from death. And once your mind is awake again, look back and realize the waste of a life with a sleeping mind.

 9 at 4: The shock releases the slush.
The soul can only shine when the dirt is removed. As long as it is not clear, life is cliché’s, habits. Without a shock now and then the spirit gets lazy and the soul gets clogged. Nobody likes shocks but they are the only way to make life bright and interesting and worthwhile and true.
