97 Starting the journey
News is on its way,
Spring is colorful and bright;
Lift the whip fast now,
Start your journey up to the north.
98 Safe places
Rats go into holes,
It is the safest place;
They are not seen on midday,
In the silence of the night they makes their rounds.
99 Astride a crane
Always summon up all your aspirations,
It is good to leave for the south west;
Your travel money a 100.000 strings,
Astride a crane high over YangZhou.
100 The pearl of the dragon
Such happiness!
Finally an end to stagnation,
The pearl you won from the fangs of the black dragon,
And suddenly lost,
It is still here in the water.
101 Peace
The state has distuinguished men,
The court no flatterers,
Weapons of war are not needed,
There is constant peace and tranquility.
102 All is yours
Peace comes when bad reaches its peak,
All-over trouble does not exist;
One only needs to foster fundamental happiness,
Produce some good deeds, and go somewhere convenient.
A little bit of cleverness and all is truly yours.
103 Thousand years
People are pleased and happy,
Government officials are purged,
A time of harmony and prosperity comes back in sight,
Thousand years achievements of rulers,
The reputation of a bright monarch depends on this.
104 Solid as Mt. Tai
Solid as Mt. Tai,
Firm like a boulder,
Setting free one's courage before moving ahead,
The inside connects directly to the appearance.
105 Cloud ladder
In the center of the moon orange Osmanthusflowers grow,
A person finally climbs up but doesn't touch them,
A cloud ladder appears below the feet,
Now it is good to settle down.
106 Alone
In heaven's space one solitary goose,
Loudly warbling exclaims being alone;
May we ask a gentleman if he knows,
How many people are in a situation like this.
107 Autumn leaves
Red autumn leaves lose color,
Withering in one night of wind;
Neighborhood chickens wake up from morning dreams,
Worries end in nothing.
108 Tangled affairs
Affairs are like hemp,
Theories full of mistakes;
The sun hides in the clouds,
You have to endure useless results.
109 The easy highway
Not embarking on past ruts,
A sweet drive in a new car;
In all four directions,
Steady steps on an easy highway.
110 Dream
In the evening, in a dream, surprised by a rat,
Waking up not seeing anyone;
All night sleepless until dawn.
111 Commenting the weather
Severe autumn frost, hot summer days;
Fresh new flowers - withered old flowers,
Generations have seen changes in temperature,
Meet one who doesn't need to comment.
112 A hero's will
Able to develop a hero's will,
Doing one's utmost without fearing trouble,
Having the courage to handle predictions of weal and woe.
Contend for the Northeastern Imperial examinations.
113 One Shock
Catching a severe illness,
Faint all day long,
One shock from an authority,
And the body is a bit better.
114 What it seems
Easy not easy,
Difficult not difficult,
Suddenly great waves rise up,
Two or three times laughing heartily.
115 Black moon
The road is obstructed,
The doors are closed,
Cautious and guarded,
The clouds conceal a black moon.
116 The scarecrow laughs
Profits like the tentacles of a snail,
The head of a fly,
Now stop being accomodating,
The scarecrow laughs at you,
A good beginning, not a good end.
117 Abundance
Pearls and jades cover the center of the tray,
Fields and gardens cover the abundant hills,
Cease talking, scheming abort,
This goes quite well.
118 All in accord
The moon has been bright,
Flowers will appear abundantly;
Affairs move along leisurely,
All is in accord.
119 Words
A hazy autumn moon shines on the red-lacquered doors of wealthy homes,
In the forest outside birds call the distant Buddhist monks
Certainly there is a court lady coming to lead the way,
Unnecessary clever words seem to flow like a warbler.
120 A beginning of peace
Affairs don't expand,
The heart is unsettled,
There are long-time doubts,
A beginning of peace.
